Children and Animals Together Assessment and Intervention Program (CAT) – Animal Behavior Specialist (volunteer) – CAT is an innovative program provided through the ASU School of Social Work in collaboration with the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (AAWL). The program is designed and run by Dr. Christina Risley-Curtiss, MSSW, PhD, to intervene with children ages 6-12 who are abusing animals. It is grant-funded by the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust/ A KeyBank Trust and the Animal Welfare Trust, in partnership with the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA, a no-kill shelter in Phoenix, AZ. 2015
